Classification
Acctual sanitary products are divided into directly contacted with drinking water and contacted with non-drinking water according to testing requirements.
Products directly contacted with drinking water are required toxicity evaluation,acutally migiration tests are addtional required while products contacted with non-drinking water are required to pass mechenical testing,like O-ring,washer,Cartridges,etc.
Standards for toxicity evaluation as follow:
NSF61-8 for Canada and USA
BS6920 for UK
AS4020 for Australia
AFNOR XP P41-250-2 for France
W270 for Germany
Typical products contacted with drinking water such as Kitchen Mixer,supply ball valves,supply hose or other components used in similar products.
Typical products contacted with non-drinking water such as Shower Cabinnet,Hand shower,drain ball valves or other components used in similar products.
